Stockade – Downtown Schenectady 1952
Urban renewal and other changes remade Downtown Schenectady in the past 65 years, but much of the old Stockade District remains the same.
To make Schenectady easier to spell, I support using the English translation, “City Beyond the Pines”. 🌲🌲 🐦🦉 🦋🌲🌲

An obvious benefit – less Thruway signage needed, people will know when they are approaching their exit at least heading Westbound.
At least Schenectady is easier to spell than Skahnéhtati, the proper spelling.

Rotterdam Junction – Year of Building Construction
I was surprised looking at the assessment records that the hamlet of Rotterdam Junction is newer then I would have thought. Most of the hamlet was built between 1900 and 1950, with many of structures from the turn of century. There also newish subdivison built off of Alexander Drive that was built in 1980-1982 and Ulrich Road that was built in around 1993, with a few luxury houses added in 2003-2004.
