With the afternoon sun, and the clouds pushing in, you could see the parts of the forest that still had brilliant color offset by the areas that are fading away to the grays of winter.

Petersburgh State Forest and rolling farm country of the many small hick towns that make up Washington County.

Maybe somewhat faded by the late season and relatively dry autumn, there were still many excellent reds and yellows to be taken in from the Dickinson Firetower.
